Looking to get started in fly fishing but don’t know where to begin? Fly Fishing Foundations is a one-day, small-group course that takes the stress out of learning and puts the fun front and center.
This six-hour experience is limited to just six students so you’ll get lots of personal attention from an expert instructor—a PhD entomologist and NC-certified fly fishing instructor with over a decade of experience teaching adults (and making learning fun).
You’ll learn:
- 🎣 Fly fishing equipment basics
- 🪢 Knots and rigging tips
- 🪰 Aquatic insect ID & how to “match the hatch”
- 💥 3 full hours of hands-on casting practice (including tips for small Carolinas streams)
